Job DescriptionSTATUS:

Variable days, flexible hours, holidays and weekends based on rotation scheduleJOB SUMMARYAs an employee of Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, it is the responsibility of this, and all positions within the hospital, to support the mission and role of Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital.
In addition, this position will actively support the hospital's strategic plan in the areas of People, Service, Quality, Finance and Growth, in a team-based environment.
The employee also performs all job duties in compliance with laws and regulations and in observance of accrediting agency standards.
Required SkillsCore Competencies for the Position Professionally investigates, triages, and resolves patient issues using the established HEART Model, ensuring patient's visit is an outstanding experience.
Proactively assists patients to minimize patient issues.
Proactively manages needs of patients and visitors in our waiting areas, seeking opportunities to interact with patients by actively greeting patients when appropriate, resolving patient issues and providing service recovery.
Understands radiographic test procedures as is necessary to customer questions.
Scans patient documents into the Meditech Medical Records (PCI) Prepares film release forms, film duplication (hard copy and/or digital media) per department policy.
Processes the workflow for the day.
Supports and participates in process improvement efforts.
Checks patient's paperwork for accuracy Verifies date of examination Verifies that the patient's written physician order is available.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Processes PET scan paperwork and routes images Performs patient registration, pre-visit, insurance verification, scheduling, arrival desk and/or departure desk activities according to standards and guidelines ensuring accuracy and an outstanding patient experience.
Supports front-end technology utilization to promote understanding and comfort level in use by caregivers and providers.
Performs point of service activities:
visit preparation, co-pay collection, patient tracking and record tracking ensuring accuracy and an outstanding patient experience.
Facilitates billing functions, accurately meeting compliance and organizational quality and productivity standards.
Enters and maintains confidential and accurate patient information including patient insurance, billing, and payment information.
Performs telephone triage.
Follows standards and guidelines for telephones etiquette and service when interacting with patients over the phone.
Generates staff provider reschedules.
Relays staff messaging.
Other duties as assigned.
Required ExperiencePosition
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent Excellent interpersonal skills/ability to work well with people projecting a positive image for the Hospital.
Excellent organizational and detail skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
Ability to remain calm and function well in stressful situations.
A good understanding of age-related issues of infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and their families regarding their specific physical and mental health needs.
Ability to remain flexible within schedule and provide coverage as needed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
