Summary
The Quality Team Leader functions with a high degree of autonomy and is responsible for supporting daily quality activities and process issues concerning production and scheduling requirements for Meteor Sealing Systems (a TG company).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Support manufacturing process issues in achieving and maintaining quality standards that meet the intent of the management system
Assist in the preparation of quality systems, work standards, job instructions, set-up instructions and continued maintenance of documents and plant production document control as required
Ability to stop production when non-conforming products are found and required to investigate such products and communicate findings with top management
Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner
Schedule and conduct audits as required
Issue and follow up on all supplier complaints
Support and promote team-oriented results in manufacturing and corrective action areas
Assist in the companys TS16949 efforts and document and data control
Perform in process, final and incoming inspection audits as required
Promote and train associates pertaining to quality
Assist lab technicians in lab testing when necessary
Participate on the Emergency Response Team by responding to emergencies in accordance with established emergency response procedures
Responsible to ensure the calibration system is developed and maintained
Assist in ensuring accurate production part approval process (PPAP)
Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort
Provide the team with a vision of the tasks required and objectives
Motivate and inspire team members and lead by setting a good example (role model), behavior consistent with words
Coach and help develop team members, ensure discussions and decisions lead toward closure and maintain healthy good dynamics
Encourage constant improvement of the team members and strive to help team members achieve these improvements
Maintain a good attendance record at all times
Recognize and celebrate team member accomplishments and exceptional performance
Support decisions made by Management and/or Supervisors when handling and dealing with questions and concerns from team members
Develop an attitude to represent a leadership role and be accountable for your actions and decisions
Respect all co-workers under all circumstances and remain honest, loyal and focused
Responsibilities also include; Customer Complaints, Quality Alerts, Sorting Activities (Internal & External), Returned Material Authorization (RMA), PPM Tracking (internal & external), Short Notice Customer support
Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts
Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork is critical to success
Qualifications and Competencies
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
Quality experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Knowledge in all facets of manufacturing operational phases and quality requirements related to operations is required
Knowledge and understanding of all process equipment in order to assist associates in troubleshooting equipment process issues that may arise
Ability to utilize and understand Measurement System Analysis (MSA) is required
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2007 or newer is required
Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
Effective verbal, non-verbal, negotiation and written communication skills are required
Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers is required
Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills is required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
