Physical Requirement: Stand, walk, use hands to finger/ handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Hear typical speaking volume. Close/distance/peripheral vision, proper depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and see color. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
The Coatings Technician functions under the direction of the Process Engineering Manager and is responsible for developing and improving processes that apply to surface coating applications for Meteor Sealing Systems (a TG company).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Develop parameters to improve current & establish new processes to improve quality, cost, safety and productivity
Support production with problem solving techniques and troubleshooting
Support maintenance when machinery problems occur
Train employees on best practices in producing quality products
Monitor scrap levels, identify problems, and establish corrective action
Implement best practice preventative maintenance for new equipment
Develop and troubleshoot new equipment during initial start-up phase
Perform CAD design, project management and process control as it applies to all surface coating applications
Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts
Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork is critical to success
Qualifications and Competencies
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required; Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2007 or newer is required
Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
Effective verbal, non-verbal, negotiation and written communication skills are required
Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers is required
Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills is required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
