Recruiting and Hiring Coordinator role assumes responsibility from candidate recruiting to employee training and workplace culture.

Ohio Motorcycle Group is a Harley-Davidson Dealership Group with 5 locations:Adventure Harley-Davidson (Dover, OH), Mad River Harley-Davidson (Sandusky), Rubber City Harley-Davidson (Akron), Rock-N-Roll City Harley-Davidson (Cleveland), Lake Erie Harley-Davidson (Avon). This position will report to Director of Human Resources and will reside out of Dover location.

A Day in Life

Employment / Hiring

Advertise employment positions on various job boards, dealership websites, local universities and other organizations. Boost the positions weekly to ensure employment opening visibility.

Source applications; perform initial applicant phone screening for all staff positions, daily.

Coordinate interviews with managers responsible for employee selection.

Update organizational chart and employee staffing level documents. Provide diversity profile data.


Execute New Employee Onboarding.

Execute New Employee Day One.

Follow up with the managers on the new employee onboarding plan.

Employee Relations

Follow up on employee performance reviews ensuring timely completion.

Set up performance reviews for new employees and annual reviews for current employees.

Coordinate all in-house and out of state training, travel plans, training lunches, communication.

Participate in brainstorming around employee culture, employee related initiatives; assist in coordinating initiatives and new programs.

Compliance and Administrative

Research, update, launch regulatory training i. e. harassment, discrimination, drug-free workplace.

Regularly revise and update employee handbooks and policies to ensure up to date information.

Maintain workplace injury logs, complete appropriate safety training and reporting.

Coordinate benefit related meetings.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
