I.T. Helpdesk Support

Dover Chemical Corporation is a long-standing Tuscarawas County employer. Our manufacturing plant in Dover, OH produces specialty chemicals used in plastic applications, lubricants, and drilling/metalworking fluids. Dover Chemical Corporation, is a subsidiary of ICC Industries Inc.,  headquartered in New York City, a leader for over 50 years in the international and domestic trading, manufacture, and marketing of chemicals, plastics, and pharmaceuticals.


 Associate's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is required. Experience or certifications can substitute. BS Degree preferred.

 1-2 years of helpdesk experience in a medium or large-sized organization as help desk support or computer/network technician with experience in PC troubleshooting and configuration.

 Experience working with service desk ticketing tools preferred

 Must be extremely customer oriented and be able to deal with people on all organizational levels.

 Working knowledge of servers, general networking principles, enterprise applications, and Internet technologies

 Must be familiar with and able to use basic hand tools associated with IT duties.

 Work hours are typically 8am-5pm; occasionally required to work shifts/overtime that includes some weekends


 Provide prompt and professional support services to all functional areas and remote employees by troubleshooting, analyzing and diagnosing incidents and engaging appropriate technical/non-technical resources to resolve them

 Perform and document support on laptops, desktops, software, cell/desk phones, printers and networking equipment.

 Perform workstation and other technology troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common software and hardware problems and provide follow up for any unresolved issues

 Understanding of both wired and wireless networks

 Ability to troubleshoot Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10, Office365, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Lync/skype related issues

 Respond to the needs of questions of users concerning their access of resources on the network

 Support incoming customer requests via phone, email, voicemail and web interface and prioritize based on severity and impact to business operations

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
