Senior Planner/Scheduler (614411)

Manage all elements of Master Production Schedule (MPS) to derive optimum finished goods stock level for each item aligned with master supply plan. Manage all elements of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) System to generate all material requirements to support MPS. Assist with work-order scheduling while balancing manpower and equipment resources. Provide input to productivity and quality improvement initiatives and seek cost reduction opportunities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Generate and maintain MPS for responsible product groups based on forecast demand, production availability and inventory requirements aligned with master supply plan.
Release and track work in process to support schedules.
Measure performance of all critical factors to ensure compliance to plans.
Work with Manufacturing to ensure proper shelf dates are achieved in order to meet customer demand.
Take the lead in resolving issues when products are behind schedule.
Build detailed plans for introduction of new products and report progress to plan.
Develop inventory plans to maintain target inventory levels.
Identify inactive and obsolete items and take appropriate action to discontinue and dispose of inventory.
Manage weekly replenishment issues for assigned items.
Participate and continually improve plant standard work including capacity requirements planning and visual factory boards.
Expected Areas of Competence

Ability to manage conflict situations and to solicit and influence supporting actions of other functional areas.
Advanced understanding of business and manufacturing processes and production systems.
Advanced understanding of interdependencies of supply chain management and ability to balance multiple objectives.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel; advanced knowledge of MRP and computer-based information systems.
Working knowledge of products assigned.
Advanced understanding and interdependencies of supply chain management.
Education/Experience Requirements
B.S. in Business Administration or Finance or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Powerpoint.
Basic knowledge of MRP and computer-based information systems. Experience with J.D. Edwards a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
