Vehicle Description Fairlane Sports Coupe.
289 Engine with mild cam, rebuilt 4bbl Edelbrock Carb.
Flamethrower electronic distributor, new plugs and Accel plug wires.
All new 15 tires and wheels and front disc brakes with some new brake likes.
New front shocks.
New ball joints, and front end alignment.
New 351 water pump and thermostat and belts and hoses.
New oil and heat sending units.
New windshield.
Wiper motor cleaned and rebuilt with new grease added.
( wiper motor needs to be connected to the new wires.
Total rewire with American auto Wire upgrade kit (includes wiring for electric fan, door locks, electronic speedometer, 3rd brake light, under hood light and more.
) New springs and bushings and hangers and bolts.
Rear shocks need replaced.
Interior and trunk floors covered with sound deadening (no rust was on any of the floors when old carpet was removed, have pictures).
New glove box liner.
New license plate light assembly.
The trunk liner is original and in nice shape.
New gas tank sending unit (not working but got another new unit that needs installed).
New Autometer old school gauges (fuel and temperature and voltage) New OE black carpet and pad.
New front seat foam and seat skins, (rear seat skin is original to car and in like new condition).
New interior door panels and arm rests.
New trunk seal.
Pan Hard bar added to rear axle.
Speedometer is not original, but have the original (the dash cluster was cracked so I replaced it with a used one and used the gauges and speedometer that came in the used cluster).
Needs the speedometer cable replaced and the tranny gear changed because of the 15 tires.
New manifold and valve cover gaskets.
Strait pipes with Smithy Mufflers.
The Fairlane originally came from Arizona.
Was white with a black vinyl top.
The second owner had it repainted with Dupont Yellow in 1979 and removed the vinyl top.
The 2nd owner had the car for 51 years.
It was garage kept.
The original motor was a 260.
It was replaced around the same time the car was repainted with the 289 in 1973.
The engine was machined in Youngstown, Ohio (have machine shop paperwork).
Engine was bored 30 over and a cam installed.
The engine has a 351 timing chain cover and a 351 water pump installed on it.

The body is solid, one known putty spot (from a dent repair by the rear bumper.
Trim and chrome are all original.
Only rust found was the battery tray that was repaired and coated with black rust sealer.

Paintwork is good but not show quality.
Engine bay is clean.
Needs the neutral safety switch adjusted or replaced.
Have a bunch or extra parts and books that will go with the car, including original 14 Sports Coupe wheels.
Car is drivable and runs well.
I am the 3rd owner (2 1/2 years).
Reason for selling car is health related.
